Question of the Day

What is the best and worst thing about summer coming?

Best: lilacs
Worst: mosquitos

I'd write more, but Quinn is calling. More in the am.

Ok, I'm back.
I love the smell of lilacs in the spring. Normally, I don't like perfumes and dislike most scented products because they smell more like the chemicals that produced them than the real thing. Lilacs in the early part of summer are exquisite though and make beautiful tree/bushes. Another thing I like about summer is that it makes it "logical" to eat ice cream everyday. Mmm.

I am allergic to mosquitos and when I get one bite, it's like a weird shot of adrenaline through my body that makes me anxious and itchy. They swell up and last for a week. Ick. If or when Quinn participates in outdoor sports, I'll be the Mom wearing a mosquito net because I despise the bugs so much. Currently, another icky aspect to summer is that I need a job because Luke was laid off and all I really want to do is take classes on teaching and play with Quinn. Note: I did not say my masters paper even though I absolutely need to do that.
