I just finished the young adult novel Specials and before that, I read the two other books in the series- Pretties and Uglies. When I started the series, I thought for sure that they were going to be tired and lame, but it turns out that I was totally sucked in. Though I didn't necessarily love the ending to the series, I think it did a good job of creating some critical thinking in readers, while dishing out plenty of adventure, some romance and introduction to the utopia/dystopia genre. I would recommend them for summer reading.
I have a head ache tonight. I think while correcting some papers I had my neck at a funny angle and now my head aches. Bleh. Anyways, I wanted to tell you about the books in case you're planning ahead for beach reads:)
