Hello folks,
If you've been absent from Movies in Literature, I may have recommended you head to my blog and read the work you must complete. Please also remember that Wednesday is the last day to post blogs on your book (I'm seeking five per book) and that Friday is the last day to turn in your movie paper with your planned activity for the class. Unless you've spoken with me about an extension please do your very best to observe these deadlines.
Today's task: Come up with a list of 10 movies that include sex between consenting partners. Then, star those movies that include discussions about protection and individual's sexual histories. Circle the movies where sex occurs between two people in a loving committed relationship. What do the results of your quick film study say to you? What message do film's send about sex that is contrary to the sex education school's or families try to provide to young adults?
Then, take one of your starred movies and re-write or craft the scene so that the two individuals HAVE a smart, thoughtful discussion about sex.
Yesterday's discussion: Inspired by Casino Royale. Compose a tale where you are a secret agent. What are your means of intellect and skill? What adventures do you go on? Are you hardened, like Bond, to love and trust? Why have you been recruited and why did you choose the life of a spy?
