Tips for Readers

The nature of blogs is that the most recent blog/post appears at the top of the page. Please make it your habit to read all of the blogs I have posted that are NEW to you. In some days, I may post multiple blogs that all relate to you and our class. Other days, there may be only one. Either way, please make it a practice to read past the first blog you see to make sure you have all the pertinent news I want to share.

Below, you will find an article I would like you to read and respond to. This is Thursday's assignment. It's not a direct link so you'll have to copy and paste it into the web browser. Cool. Thanks!

I wasn't sure where i was supposed to respond to the article at..soo I'll do it here. I liked the article, it made blogging seem like much more than a "journal" on the internet and made it more out to be a window into an obsessive individual..Is all i can think how to say it..have fun and post as many and random things as you want as long as u do put some diversity in it..show some of yourself..unless your boring. then show some of someone else you feel the need to rant on or compliment. :) blogging class is gonna be fuuun !

This article had an interesting point of view, and the way it was spoken had a lot of repetition, but this makes it unique. It's true that is is an online journal thing, and I agree with twiggy fully on that one. The article was rather funny in sections,my favorite number was 6. Which I suppose could be extremely true. I do believe that this will be extremely helpful to me, as I honestly need to keep a record of things I have done, but enjoy typing more than writing on paper. I do believe this class will be important to quell my obsessive nature, by releasing it in random posting on the world's best time waster! The Internet!

I liked that the writer was very assertive when talking, it made it more interesting. And I absolutely agree that most blogs are about a personal obsession of some sort and the writers opinions, thoughts or experiences with the obsession. I enjoy blogging on my art website and I think this class will help me organize the way that I write and get better feedback or whatever you want to call it. I think I'm going to enjoy this class very much. :)

I love how Merlin Mann really voices her opinions in this article. It made it more interesting to read and I understood where she was getting at. I also can agree with what she has to say in the article, such as 'Good blogs are weird' and 'Good blogs make you want to start your own blog'. I've read other blogs before that were so good that it made me want to start my own. Although I got lazy and ended up not writing anymore after the first or second one.
