The Soundtrack to Your Life

One of the essential goals of this class is not only to have you writing descriptively and critically on a regular basis, but also to increase your flexibility with and use of technology available to you online. Yesterday, I asked you to post a series of beauty images and writing and reflect on your own definition and how the items you chose speak to that. Today, I want you to tap into music online. Today I want you to create a soundtrack for your life. You will need to select at least 8 songs that speak to who you are, what is important to you or relationships and experiences that have shaped you. Post all of the songs on your blog and include comments on why they are present and what they mean to you. I've included the Blogger directions for adding music below.

OK, so I have tried to do this myself and so far I don't have it figured out... the directions from Blogger are below, so if you can figure it out, you're smarter than I... I will succeed. Stay posted.

Embedding music/audio from third-party sites
If you'd like to embed a playlist or functionality from a third-party music service such as Last.fm or Imeem, Blogger's layouts feature makes it easy.

Visit your Template | Page Elements tab.
Create a new widget by clicking "Add a Page Element."
Choose the "HTML/Javascript" widget.
Enter the HTML code provided by your third-party music service into the content window and click "Save Changes."
If you can't find the necessary code, you may have to contact your third-party music service. Feel free to position the page element wherever you'd like.

There are plenty of services to share and embed music available on the web. Here's a list of a few to get you started. Please keep in mind that these services aren't affiliated with Blogger, but we've heard good things about them.

Last.fm
Seeqpod
Imeem
IODA Promonet
Hypster
Streampad
Splashcast
Project Playlist
FineTune
MyFlashFetish
